Patrick Sherrington
Chair of Wycombe Abbey UK International Committee
Patrick Sherrington is currently the Chairman of Wycombe Abbey International Limited and has close connections with Wycombe Abbey having been Chair of the school’s governing body from 2008-2019; Patrick sits as a Deputy High Court judge in Hong Kong, has sat as an arbitrator and has also sat regularly as a mediator. He was named International Law Firm Leader of the Year for 2017 at The Asia Legal Awards.

Diana chairs the Educational Committees of Wycombe Abbey and two leading day schools and mentors and appraises Heads.

David Aitchison
Executive Head of WAS Changzhou School
He has a PGCE in Applied Science, an MA in International Education and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and is working towards an Educational Doctorate (EdD). With over 21 years of teaching and management experience as a teacher and headmaster in the UK, South Korea and Thailand, Mr Aitchison will lead WASCZ to deepen its community and reach new heights of excellence in education, drawing on his outstanding leadership, extensive experience, academic learning and cultural awareness.

Qinghao Kan
Chinese Head of WAS Changzhou School
With 48 years of educational experience and rich experience in school management, he has served as headmaster in many primary schools, chaired provincial education research projects for many times, and published dozens of papers in educational journals at the provincial level and nationally, with his work covering a wide range of aspects, including school management, education supervision, and family education guidance. With the educational philosophy of 'eaching for growth, educating for the future, and doing warm education', he is committed to realising a new pattern of high-quality development of education in WASCZ.

Matthew Jamieson
Executive Headmaster of WAS Nanjing School
Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Birmingham and an Executive MBA from the University of East London. His distinguished career includes serving as Interim Headmaster at Sherborne School, Assistant Head at Brighton College, and Housemaster at Bedford School in the UK, where he has made outstanding achievements in boarding school management and holistic education practice. As an educational leader, he places special emphasis on balancing academic development with comprehensive student growth. An enthusiastic participant in extracurricular activities, he is closely interested in current affairs and business theory, and enjoys opera and classical music. He is a long-distance runner, a former junior international hockey player, and enjoys team activities, once leading a team of 50 on an expedition to Everest Base Camp. These diverse personal experiences and passions fully demonstrate his commitment to holistic education principles.

Ning Tian
Founding Headmaster of WAS Nanjing School
Ning Tian, Associate Professor, has extensive educational management theory and practical experience. Before serving as Chinese Founding Headmaster of Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing, Mr Tian was involved in teaching and educational management at XiaoZhuang University for 39 years. During that period, he also served as Headmaster of Nanjing Experimental International School, overseeing the successful running of all phases of the school from Kindergarten through to Lower School and Upper School. During his tenure as Headmaster, the school underwent tremendous growth and development. Mr Tian is well known among Nanjing society for his educational achievements. He is the Vice President and Executive Vice President of the Nanjing Private Education Association, a position he has held for 20 years.

Dr Simon Probert
Executive Headmaster of WAS Hangzhou School
With over a decade of in-depth experience in the education sector, he began his career as a teacher and has taught extensively in the UK, South Korea, and China. Over the years, he has held key leadership roles such as Director of Teaching and Academic Deputy Head, gaining solid management expertise. Prior to joining Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou, he served as the Principal Deputy Head at a renowned British-style school in Shanghai. He holds a EdD in Education from the University of Bath, with a research focus on curriculum internationalisation. Fluent in Chinese and deeply familiar with Chinese culture, he is committed to nurturing students’ cross-cultural thinking and global perspectives.

Yifu Jia
Chinese Head of WAS Hangzhou School
Yifu Jia holds dual bachelor's degrees from Peking University and a master's degree from King's College London. He completed a language education programme at UCL and holds a TESOL certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2018, Mr.Jia has served as a Cambridge University CIE examiner since 2018, and previously served at renowned schools both domestically and internationally within a group schooling system. He had over ten years of international teaching and management experience, and obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

Robert Fox
Headmaster of Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong
Mr. Fox brings over 25 years of expertise in Prep School education. A Geography graduate from Bristol University with a PGCE from Nottingham University, he most recently served as Headmaster at Packwood Haugh Prep School, leading it to an excellent ISI Inspection report.
Previously, as Assistant Head (Pastoral) at Harrow International School in Hong Kong, he oversaw pupil well-being and shaped the school’s ethos. His career also includes roles as Head of Boarding at Repton Prep and Head of Geography at Nottingham High School. Known for his focus on pastoral care and holistic education, Mr. Fox is dedicated to fostering confidence and academic excellence in students.
