IGCSE & A-level Curriculum

Just as the ocean is the deepest and the most expansive, breadth and depth of learning always go hand in hand, and so is the further education level curriculum at Wycombe Abbey Schools. We offer more than 30 globally recognised IGCSE and A-Level programmes, complemented by personalised and professional guidance to help students gain access to the world’s best universities. 

We encourage every student to take as many IGCSE subjects as possible to build a solid foundation for subject depth in preparation for A Level, while the optional Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) at A Level is a compulsory subject for all Wycombe Abbey Schools’ students. Although complex and challenging, it helps students gain a competitive edge in university applications. 

In Upper School, we work with our students to establish their preferred direction of progress in IGCSE and A Levels based on their interests, talents and ambitions for the future. We encourage them to make well-thought-out and planned selections of subjects, which is essential to progressing to the next stage of education.
