WAS Nanjing: Class in Action! How Lower School Maths is “Learned Through Play”
“Sending children to an international school – will their maths be shallower than in the state system? If they return to public schools later, will they fall behind?” This is a core concern for many families when choosing a lower school. However, at WAS Nanjing Lower School, maths teaching has long transcended such contradictions and limitations. The national curriculum for compulsory education is our teaching foundation, supplemented by international teaching resources and the advantages of small class sizes, while utilising richer lesson hours, extremely lively classes, and exact personalised support.
