Oxbridge Success: Wycombe Abbey Students in China Achieve Record A-Level Results
This year, the Class of 2025 from Wycombe Abbey Schools in Changzhou, Hangzhou, and Nanjing sat for a total of 310 exams across 26 A-Level subjects, achieving impressive results! We are particularly proud to congratulate two of our students who have reached new academic heights, continuing the tradition of our students at Oxbridge. C. Poulton has been successfully accepted to the University of Cambridge for Natural Sciences (3A* 2A), and M. Sloetema will be joining the University of Oxford to study Economics and Management (1A* 3A). Through their outstanding academic achievements, our students have once again demonstrated their academic strength and potential.
Balanced Excellence: Outstanding Results Across Three Major Disciplines
The 2025 graduating cohort from Wycombe Abbey Schools in Changzhou, Hangzhou, and Nanjing has received an average of five offers from top global universities. Among the chosen disciplines, Science and Engineering, Social Sciences, and Arts each account for one-third of the total. Following the release of their A-Level results, students have achieved exceptional success across these fields. These outstanding results not only secure their places at their desired universities but also provide a strong foundation for continued academic growth in their chosen disciplines. Our students are steadily advancing towards their dreams, reflecting the success of the school’s holistic educational approach.
- Science and Engineering: 53% of exams resulted in A* or A grades, and 75% achieved A*-B grades, showcasing exceptional achievement in the fields of science and engineering.
- Humanities and Social Sciences: 67% of exams achieved A* or A grades, and 80% attained A*-B grades, reflecting our students’ strong academic abilities in the humanities and social sciences.
- Visual and Performing Arts: In nine arts subjects, including music, music technology, textile design, photography, and drama, a quarter of the exams received A* or A grades, highlighting our students’ talent and creativity in the arts and performance.
