International Summer Camps Introduction

Welcome to our International Summer Camps 2026. Since 2015, we have successfully delivered annual summer school programmes. Over the past three years alone, we have welcomed more than 300 international students from around the world, all eager to learn, explore, and experience China.

This year, we once again invite students to “Unlock Your Potential” through two summer camps designed specifically for international learners. Each programme offers carefully developed content for curious, open‑minded, and ambitious students.

GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE in CHINA

This camp invites students to embark on a journey built around three core pillars:

China’s Modern Development

Through STEM project-based learning, students gain first-hand insight into China’s rapid technological and industrial transformation.

Chinese Cultural Exploration

From ancient traditions to hands-on craft workshops, each experience is designed to spark curiosity and create lasting memories.

Chinese language Learning

Students develop practical communication skills while building confidence in navigating a bilingual environment.

IMMERSIVE CHINESE LANGUAGE

Designed for students who believe in a language‑first approach, this programme supports learners at all levels—from beginners to more advanced students. The camp prepares students for YCT and HSK certification, with access to online learning platforms that allow them to continue their studies even after the camp concludes.

Chinese Immersive Language

Our WAS Summer Camps

We offer a bilingual (English and Chinese) environment supported by British‑standard boarding facilities. Our WAS Summer Camps bring together an experienced international faculty, providing students with a wide range of thematic learning opportunities.

Beyond the classroom, students build meaningful friendships with peers from China and around the world. Here, each child is recognised, supported, and encouraged to discover new strengths—allowing the spirit of holistic education to accompany every step of their growth.

Meet our Camp Leaders

Bunny He

Summer Camp 2026 Campus Leader NANJING

Bunny joined Wycombe Abbey International School Nanjing in 2021 as a PE teacher and quickly took on additional responsibilities as Housemistress and Head of Boarding. Her strong leadership, passion, and energy play a key role in providing students with a safe, supportive, and enriching camp experience.

Johann Louw

Summer Camp 2026 Campus Leader HANGZHOU

Johann has been a founding teacher at Wycombe Abbey International School Hangzhou since 2021 and has played an integral role in establishing the school’s Enrichment Department as Director of Experiential Trips. He led the Hangzhou Summer Camps in 2025, bringing valuable experience that will contribute to an even stronger programme for students.

Elandré Rheeder

Summer Camp 2026 Campus Leader CHANGZHOU

Elandré joined Wycombe Abbey International School Changzhou in 2023 and was quickly promoted to Assistant Head. For Summer Camp 2026, he will lead the programme with a strong focus on quality and student experience, delivering a carefully designed blend of challenge, creativity, and enjoyment to make the summer memorable for every student.
