It was a momentous occasion last Wednesday, as Wycombe Abbey Nanjing warmly received the 2024 Annual Expert Delegation from our esteemed sister educational establishment, Wycombe Abbey School in the UK.
This was the second in-depth visit to Wycombe Abbey Nanjing by Mr Patrick Sherrington, Chairman of Wycombe Abbey’s International Affairs Council, and Ms Diana Rose, Chair of the Education, Pastoral Care, and Boarding Committee, since their first evaluation in June last year. This year, the delegation thoroughly assessed the Nanjing campus’s progress in teacher recruitment, teaching and boarding management, and student safety and well-being.
In addition to the annual regular inspections by these two senior experts, WASNJwelcomed the current headmistress of Wycombe Abbey UK, Ms Jo Duncan, last year. Next month, Senior Consultant Mr Phillip Davis will also visit Nanjing to offer a week of detailed educational guidance. Such close exchanges and increasingly deep cooperation are aimed at ensuring that the WASNJ, as a member of the Wycombe Abbey family, align closely across all aspects of our holistic education ethos, including academic excellence, pastoral care, and diverse enrichment. In this way, we collaborate with our sister schools to promote a balanced and uniquely characterised development of each member within the Wycombe Abbey family.
